On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the Department of Translation, College of Languages, Nawroz University, organized a scientific seminar on "A Comparison of Animal Symbols in Kurdish and English Proverbs," presented by Assistant Lecturer Zirak Akram Jabar at the Faqi Tayran Hall
The main aim of the seminar was to compare the symbolic meanings of animals in both Kurmanji Kurdish and English proverbs. By doing this, the seminar aimed to show how these two different cultures used animal figures to describe human behavior, share life lessons, and explain social rules.
