History
The College of Law and Political Science at Nawroz University is a fundamental
pillar of private higher education in the Duhok Governorate of the Kurdistan
Region - Iraq. Its establishment dates back to the 2003-2004 academic year. The
college has accompanied the university since its inception, back when it was
known a( Duhok University College) as the Law Department formed the main
primary focs upon which the university was built.
With the evolution of academic and societal needs, the college underwent a
qualitative expansion to include the specialization of Political Science
starting from the 2012-2013 academic year, contributing to providing society
with distinguished legal and political competencies.
Throughout a scientific journey spanning more than two decades, the college has
successfully graduated 20 batches of students qualified to contribute to the
development of legal, administrative, and diplomatic institutions.
Today the college continues to modernize its academic curricula and enhance its
educational environment remaining a beacon of knowledge capable of addressing
contemporary legal and political challenges
