Nawroz University Achieves Its Best-Ever Performance in Webometrics Excellence and Impact Rankings

Nawroz University has achieved a new milestone in the July 2026 edition of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, recording its highest-ever performance in two of the ranking's most significant indicators: Excellence and Impact.

The University ranked 2,106th worldwide in the Excellence indicator, the highest position it has ever attained since joining the Webometrics ranking. This indicator measures the quality and international impact of a university's scientific research based on highly cited publications.

Nawroz University also recorded its best-ever result in the Impact indicator, ranking 3,544th globally, a remarkable improvement from 19,250th in the January 2026 edition. This significant progress reflects the University's growing digital presence and the increasing visibility of its website through links and references from academic institutions and other reputable websites.

In the overall Webometrics ranking, Nawroz University advanced from 11,222nd in January 2026 to 8,911th worldwidein July 2026, climbing 2,311 places within just six months.

The Webometrics Ranking evaluates universities based on indicators that measure their digital presence, openness in disseminating knowledge, and the quality and impact of their research output. It is widely recognized as one of the leading international university rankings.
