In the presence of the President of the University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mevan Arif Abdulrahman, the Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hoger Tahir Tawfiq, the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, the Director of Combating Violence Against Women and Family in Duhok, the Public Prosecutor at the Duhok Court of Appeal, and several officers from the Duhok Governorate Police Directorate and the Organized Crime Combating Office, the first day of a training course for police officers on investigating domestic violence cases was launched. Retired Judge Mohammed Amin Sharafani, former President of the Duhok Regional Court of Appeal, delivered a lecture on "Investigation Procedures in the Framework of Personal Status and Domestic Violence."
The aforementioned course was organized by the College of Law and Political Science and the Directorate for Combating Violence Against Women and Family, in coordination with the "Asa" Organization for Law and Community Development, and .will continue for one week
