Department of Architecture Engineering was established in July 2013, following the College of Engineering at Nawroz University. The first batch of students was accepted in the academic year 2013-2014, the study duration is five years, during which students complete 300 ECTS credits leading to the award of a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering. The department of Architecture Engineering offers for the enrolled students a suitable environment for architecture education that is modern and at the same time rooted in the context and environment of the region. The curriculum provides students with the theoretical and practical skills with opportunities for professional life. The department intends to prepare students as architectural engineers having knowledge of sustainable design, construction and technical requirements of Kurdistan and the region building industry.
The Department of Computer and Communication Engineering at Nawroz University was established in 2013. The first batch of students was accepted in the academic year 2013-2014 as a means to receive the Bachelor degree in Computer and Communication Engineering. The department acts as a premier academic hub dedicated to training engineers who will design and build the next generation of interconnected technologies. Our comprehensive curriculum bridges the physical and digital worlds, blending key principles of computer engineering—including microprocessors, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration—with advanced telecommunications engineering, covering wireless and wired networks, digital signal processing, and modern cloud infrastructures. Through a rigorous balance of theoretical depth and extensive practical experimentation in our modern hardware and networking laboratories, we cultivate the core technical competencies required in today’s tech landscape. We are deeply committed to fostering a culture of innovation, critical analysis, and collaborative teamwork, ensuring our graduates emerge as versatile professionals equipped to lead the region's telecommunications networks and computing systems into the future. The period of study is four (4) years, and the language of instruction is English. Only graduates of the scientific branch, preparatory schools are admitted to the department.
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in November 2021. The first batch of students was accepted in the academic year 2021-2022 as a means to receive the Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. Designing and building infrastructure for urban complexes is a primary civil engineering task. Civil engineers use their knowledge of mathematics and physical sciences to develop ways to harness natural resources and the forces of nature to protect the environment and improve human well-being. Civil engineering is a profession serving humanity as they are responsible for all civil infrastructure systems such as water supply and treatment facilities, waste handling methods, construction of roads, bridges, dams, communications services, railways and traffic regulation. The work of engineers leads to the improvement of public health and quality of life, and they have a direct impact on society and its ability to create a sustainable civilization. The period of study is four (4) years and the language of instruction is English. Only graduates of the scientific branch, preparatory schools are admitted to the department.

The first batch of students was accepted in the academic year 2025-2026 as a means to receive the Bachelor degree in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. It represents the cutting edge of computational education, designed specifically to address the revolutionary demands of the modern digital landscape.
