On Sunday ,12 th of October , 2025 the Department of English at the College of
Languages at Nawroz University organized a seminar entitled: Understanding Learners.
The seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Lazgin Kheder Barany , in the
presence of a number of academics and attendees.
The seminar addressed several important themes, most notably: Why
understanding learners matters , what do we need to understand our learners ,
learners individual differences including learning styles , affective factors,
personality differences , cultural differences , and finally how teachers can respond
to these differences.
At the end of the activity, the floor was opened for discussion and participants
exchanged views, questions, and comments related to the topic.
