Professor Abdullah Fadhil Hamid has held the title of Professor of Private International Law since 2023. He has been an academic lecturer since 2006 at universities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He teaches undergraduate courses, including Private International Law, Civil Contracts, Real Rights, Civil Procedure, and Provisions of Obligations. He also lectures in postgraduate programs at Kurdistan Region universities and has supervised numerous Master’s and PhD theses. Furthermore, he has chaired and participated in defense committees for Master’s and PhD degrees in universities across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. He has published dozens of research papers in the field of private law, specifically private international law, in Iraqi and Arab academic journals. He is the author of the book "Private International Law (Part Two)," which is a textbook approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. In addition to his contributions to scientific research, Professor Hamid participates with his research in many scientific conferences at both the Iraqi and Arab levels. He has also held several administrative positions at the Faculty of Law, University of Duhok, including Head of the Law Department, Director of the Postgraduate Studies Unit, and Director of the Legal and Political Research Center. Currently, he serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Duhok.
