Academic Participation by Nawroz University in the Second Bamerni Cultural Forum

A number of faculty members from Nawroz University participated in the Second Bamerni Cultural Forum, held on 23–24 September 2026, with the participation of academics, researchers, and intellectuals from the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and abroad.

Nawroz University was represented by Prof. Dr. Ameen Abdulqadir and Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulghafour Al-Shankali from the College of Languages; Dr. Zhyar Mohammed from the College of Administration and Economics; Dr. Nasreen Ali Arab and Asst. Lecturer Shukri Mohammed Taha from the College of Law and Political Science; and Asst. Lecturer Rozhan Ahmed from the College of Languages.

The Nawroz University participants contributed to the forum’s academic and cultural programme by presenting research papers and moderating discussion sessions. The forum was held under the theme: “Towards Consolidating Sub-Identities in the Kurdistan Region to Strengthen a Common and Unified Identity.”

More than 60 academic papers were presented during the forum, which attracted over 600 participants from different cities across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, as well as from abroad. The event provided a platform for academic exchange and dialogue on cultural and identity-related issues.
