Biography

System Masood Saleem is an architect, academic, and researcher currently serving as a faculty member in the Department of Architecture at Nawroz University. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Nawroz University, graduating among the top three students in her cohort, and subsequently joined the department as a teaching assistant. She later obtained her master’s degree in architecture from the University of Mosul and has since been actively engaged in teaching and research.

At Nawroz University, she has taught a variety of architectural courses across different academic levels, promoting design excellence, critical thinking, and the integration of theory with practice. Her research interests include architectural design, urban design, heritage conservation, urban morphology, computational design, and digital technologies in architecture.

She has authored three peer-reviewed scientific publications and presented her research at two international academic conferences. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Architecture at the University of Mosul, where her dissertation focuses on the integration of Artificial Intelligence, computational methodologies, and advanced digital technologies into architectural and urban design. Her research aims to develop innovative design frameworks that enhance sustainable urban development, strengthen urban identity, and support data-driven decision-making in contemporary architectural and urban design.
