Dr. Nasruddin Suleiman Mohammed
Dr. Nasruddin Suleiman Mohammed is an academic specialized in law enforcement, with extensive experience in criminal justice and combating organized crime. He currently serves as Director of the Office of Combating Organized Crime in Duhok, and possesses broad expertise in investigating human trafficking cases as one of the transnational organized crimes.
Dr. Nasruddin holds a PhD in Public Law, with a precise specialization in the criminal field. His academic and professional interests focus on developing criminal investigation mechanisms and strengthening means of combating organized crime.
He has participated in several international training courses and workshops, including a scientific visit to Greater Manchester Police organized by the UK Home Office, the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) organized by the U.S. Department of State titled "Strengthening Mechanisms for Combatting Trafficking in Persons," and a study visit to Warsaw organized by the European Union (EUAMI) to learn about Frontex operations and border management.
Dr. Nasruddin serves as a faculty member at the College of Law and Politics at Newroz University, where he teaches Criminal Investigation Procedures to fifth-year students. He contributes to the academic community by bridging theoretical aspects with practical applications, training students in modern investigation tools and victim protection mechanisms, thereby enriching legal knowledge and raising professional standards in criminal justice.
