Professor Dr. Nadia Tawfeek Jaafar is a Professor of Prosthodontics and a faculty member at the College of Dentistry, University of Duhok, Iraq. She has been actively involved in teaching, research, and clinical education since 2006, beginning her academic career at the University of Mosul. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Dentistry in 2001 and her Master's degree in Prosthodontics in 2007 from the University of Mosul, followed by a PhD in Prosthodontics from the University of Duhok in 2024. She was promoted to Professor in 2025.

Her research interests include dental implantology, oral microbiology, maxillofacial prosthetics, dental materials, oral health services, and removable and fixed prosthodontics. She has published 18 articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals and has actively participated in numerous regional and international conferences and workshops.

Professor Dr. Jaafar has supervised three Master's students and four Kurdistan Board candidates and has served on numerous MSc and PhD thesis defense committees. She is Chairperson of the Scientific Promotion Committee at the College of Dentistry, University of Duhok, and a peer reviewer for several national and international journals. Her academic contributions have been recognized through multiple letters of appreciation from the University of Mosul, the University of Duhok, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
