Dr. Suad Yousif Al-Kass is a senior academic and scientist in the field of medical chemistry and biochemistry. She has served as Head of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at the College of Pharmacy, University of Duhok where she also played a role in academic promotions for 15 years. Currently, working as the head of Basic Science Department, College of Pharmacy, Nawroz University, Duhok/Kurdistan region of Iraq. She got the degrees of MSc and PhD in biochemistry both from College of Science, University of Mosul, Mosul/Iraq. According to her academic profiles (e.g., ResearchGate and ORCID), Dr. Al-Kass specializes in biochemistry, oxidative stress, nutrition, enzymology, and metabolic disorders. Dr. Al-Kass’s scholarly work includes 26 scientific publications often appears in peer-reviewed journals and covers human health, biochemical markers, nutritional studies, oxidative stress, PTSD biomarkers and metabolic outcomes. Besides, she delights working with the communities. she visited many areas which involved camps of internal displaced people around Duhok City with her colleagues as well as pharmacy students for pharmaceutical assistance and diseases monitoring, and then taught them how to make homemade medications and eco-friendly cleaning soap from used cooking oil.
