Dr. Moslih Aowni Saeid is an Assistant Professor and an academic specializing in Linguistics. Currently, he is the head of translation department in college of languages. His research and expertise focus on sociolinguistics, language policy, language contact, and translation-related studies. He possesses a distinguished academic background, having earned his B.A. from Mosul University in 1982, followed by an M.A. from the Free University of Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin), Germany, in 1991. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Vienna in 2014, with a doctoral dissertation titled "Two Varieties of Kurdish in Competition," which provides a scientific analysis of linguistic variation and competitive dynamics between language varieties. Throughout his career, Dr. Moslih has dedicated his scholarly work to the intersections of language and society. His research provides critical insights into language policy and the evolution of language contact within diverse social contexts. As a specialist in linguistics, he continues to contribute to the academic community through his rigorous scientific approach to understanding language variation and intellectual development.
