Biography

Khalid Ahmed Hussein is an architectural engineer and academic whose work focuses on contemporary design technologies and the integration of artificial intelligence into architectural design methods. He holds a B.Sc. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Mosul and a master’s degree in architectural engineering, with a research orientation toward digital design, Building Information Modeling, and computational applications at both architectural and urban scales. His expertise includes advanced design technologies, AI-assisted design processes, BIM-based workflows, urban digital modeling, and computational tools for architectural analysis and decision-making.

He has produced several academic studies in these fields, contributing to knowledge on digital transformation in architecture and the application of intelligent technologies in design and urban contexts. His research interests address the relationship between architecture, emerging technologies, and the evolving requirements of contemporary built environments.

In teaching, he contributes to architectural design studios across different architectural levels. In addition, he focuses on the philosophy of architecture, as well as technical subjects related to building engineering services and working drawings. He supports students in developing design, technical, and research skills, and contributes to the academic community through scholarly publications, supervision of student projects, research activities, and technology-driven architectural design.
