Dr. Sulaiman Mohammed Sulaiman currently heads the Department of Law at the College of Law and Politics, a role that reflects his academic standing and his commitment to the institution. He earned his doctorate with a Very Good grade from Mansoura University in Egypt, focusing on Public Finance Economics, and has spent the past five years teaching and shaping the department’s direction, having earlier served as Head of the Department of Political Science as well.

In the classroom, Dr. Sulaiman covers Public Finance, Tax Legislation, the Special Section of Penal Law, Public International Law, Research Principles, and the History of Law. His research follows a similar thread of legal and economic relevance, exploring the relationship between terrorism financing and money laundering, how courts classify terrorist crimes, the legal dimensions of Iraq’s general budget deficit between 2014 and 2025, and crimes targeting cultural heritage.

Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Sulaiman has stayed closely involved in the academic life of the college, spending five years on the Examination Committee and leading it for most of that time, a reflection of the trust placed in him and his steady contribution to academic governance.
