Biography
Professor Dr. Turki Hasan Ali has been a faculty member in the Department of Architectural Engineering since 2019. He earned his PhD in Architecture from the University of Baghdad in 2007, where he specialized in architecture engineering and urban design and its theoretical and philosophical foundations. His academic expertise encompasses architectural design, urban design theory, architectural history, building technology, and space planning.
Professor Ali is actively involved in undergraduate teaching and postgraduate supervision, with a strong commitment to integrating theoretical knowledge with practical architectural design. His research focuses on urban design environment, public space, urban morphology, and the philosophical frameworks that influence contemporary urban planning and the built environment. He has contributed to curriculum development by preparing professional lecture materials, design studio projects, and academic resources that enhance architectural education.
In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Professor Ali supervises postgraduate research and promotes critical thinking through the application of international design standards and evidence-based methodologies. His academic contributions reflect a sustained commitment to advancing architectural education, fostering innovation in design, and supporting the professional development of future architects and urban designers.
