Biography
Hariwan Mohammed Ahmed is a dedicated academic and researcher specializing in Kurdish Literature. He currently serves as a lecturer at Nawroz University, where he contributes to the academic development of the Kurdish Department. His educational journey began at the University of Duhok, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kurdish Language in 2014. Building on this foundation, he pursued post-graduate studies and obtained a Master’s degree in Kurdish Literature from Mardin Artuklu University in 2017. He is currently advancing his scholarly expertise as a PhD candidate in Kurdish Literature.
Mr. Hariwan attained his professional academic title in 2018. Since joining the faculty at Nawroz University, he has taught a wide range of specialized subjects, including Literary Texts, Classical Kurdish Literature, Modern Kurdish Literature, and Literary Criticism. Additionally, he has taught Kurdology across various other departments, reflecting his broad knowledge of Kurdish heritage and identity.
His research interests are centered on Kurdish literature, where he focuses on analyzing historical and contemporary texts to preserve and promote Kurdish literary heritage. His dual role as a researcher and an educator allows him to bridge traditional literary studies with modern critical perspectives.
