The joint project of Nawroz University and Duhram University is scheduled to start next February. The project has the support of the British Academy, and aims to provide training, networking opportunities and one-to-one mentoring, in order to build the research and publication capacity- especially regarding publication in international journals- of emerging scholars in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, through writing workshops.
The program will be supervised by international senior professionals in social sciences and humanities, and editors of prestigious international journals. It is worth noting that these projects were implemented as a result of obtaining funding from the British Academy through the efforts made by Dr. Mohammedali Yaseen Taha, lecturer of political science at NU, and Prof. Dr. Bahar Baser, professor of the School of Government and International Relations at Durham University.
